Q:  What is the first step towards registering my organization?
A:  Attend an Orientation session

Q:  Once I submit the online registration application, is my group registered?
A:  No, for your group to be officially registered, all advisor approvals and administrative verifications must be completed first. [Details of Registration]

Q:  Who can be an advisor for my group?
A:  Any full-time UK faculty or staff member.

Q:  Is registration only online?
A:  Yes

Q:  How can I update information about my group?
A:  The current president or advisor can log into the online system with their Link Blue credentials and update any information for the group.

Q:  Do organizations have to re-register every year?
A:  Yes, registration is only for one year and expires on May 1st of the academic year.  We begin re-registering organizations in early April.

Q:  What is the role of an advisor?
A:  Advisors with each organization have varying levels of involvement, but they are a resource to the organization, help the group navigate the UK regulations/guidelines and serve to help the officers transition from year to year.  An advisor should be connected with or interested in the purpose and function of the group.

Q:  Can I get a UK website address for my group?  
A:  Yes.  Once you are officially registered, the president of the organization can email Denise Stephens to find out the current process for getting this set up.  UK provides the web space and access, but we do not provide support on how to build or maintain webpages.  

Q:  Do all registered student organizations automatically receive funding once they are registered?
A;  No, funding is only available through the Student Government Association funding request process.  

Q:  How does my organization reserve a room in the Student Center or outside on campus?
A:  You would need to speak directly with the Student Center Director's Office (257-5781) or email Ashley Casteel or Hannah Centers for details on reservations.

A:  Yes, and it can be found here

Q:  Do you have any deals on T-Shirts or Polos?
A:  Yes, we have negotiated a great contracted price for all our registered student organizations.  You work directly with the Vendors for any orders.
