Each student is assigned to a Mentor Group. Each Mentor Group is led by a peer mentor, who is an alum of the Emerging Leader Institute. The purpose of these groups is to provide students with an intimate setting to further discuss class topics, personal leadership philosophies, and project design and plans.
Application and Selection Process
Instructors of the course accept applications each semester from students with 60 or less credit hours (freshman and sophomore classification). With assessment and consideration of involvement, grade point average and application question responses, 20-25 students are selected for each semester.
