Leadership exchange provides Kentucky students with the EMPOWER: Women’s Leadership Program. This program gives students the opportunity to discover their strengths, refine their leadership skills, participate in challenging and enlightening activities, network with other leaders, and be empowered as a woman. EMPOWER starts every fall semester and is open to any UK student that identifies as a woman. All classifications, majors and levels of leadership are welcome. The retreat is an application-based program and participants must apply and be selected. The 2016 retreat will be held September 30- October 2nd, 2016 and will be held at Cedarmore Camp & Conference Center in Baghdad, KY. The retreat is FREE for students, and transportation, meals, lodging and other goodies are all included! Once participants return from the retreat, there are monthly meetings as a large group to continue leadership training and building connections with other retreat participants. Participants will also meet with their Student Facilitator from the retreat throughout the year to give participants a mentor through the EMPOWER program. Student Facilitators lead small groups at the retreat and are selected from our previous EMPOWER group each year.
