Leadership Exchange presents the EMPOWER: Women’s Leadership Program. This program gives students the opportunity to discover their strengths, refine their leadership skills, participate in challenging and enlightening activities, network with other leaders, and be empowered as a woman.

As part of this program, students will:

-Cultivate an authentic leadership style through identifying their values and enhancing self-awareness
-Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of leadership around diverse identities, cultures, and society
-Develop a sense of belonging within the University of Kentucky community

EMPOWER begins every fall semester and is open to any UK student who identifies as a woman. All classifications, majors and levels of leadership are welcome.

The program is free for all participants, and students must apply to be selected.  Selected participats will attend an overnight retreat, followed by monthly meetings as a large group to continue leadership training and building connections with other participants. Participants will also be assigned to a small group led by a Student Facilitator who will serve as a mentor throughout the year. Student Facilitators are selected from our previous EMPOWER group each year.
