UK Alumni Ambassadors

Deadline to Apply: April 5, 2019

The UK Alumni Association Alumni Ambassadors are the official student hosts of the University of Kentucky. The cumulative group helps promote UK at university and alumni association events and assist in strengthening students’ roles within the university. The mission of the group is to provide an overall campus involvement experience for elite leaders engaged in the university. This program is a partnership with the Office of the President and the UK Alumni Association to showcase the best and the brightest of the University of Kentucky’s students.

These students have demonstrated high achievement in their collegiate career and dedication to the betterment of the university. Ambassadors are required to maintain a 3.0 GPA and are comprised from various backgrounds, cultures and areas of campus involvement.  Interested students should apply here.

Alternative Break Site Leader

UK ASB is a student-run organization housed in the University of Kentucky’s Center for Community Outreach. We provide students with the opportunity to continue on their journey to active citizenship through service work during college breaks. We offer a wide variety of trips focused towards a diverse group of social issues.

Mental Health Peer Advocate

What is a Mental Health Peer Advocate?

MHPA is a student outreach group designed to facilitate the connection between the University of Kentucky students and the Counseling Center. Through this outreach program, enthusiastic and dependable UK students have the opportunity to share important information about mental health issues and the services provided by the Counseling Center to the rest of the student body.

What will Mental Health Peer Advocates do?

Accepted applicants will be responsible for developing and executing outreach programs and presentations that will:

  • Promote emotional well-being among the student body
  • Raise awareness regarding college mental health issues
  • Provide education and resources related to psychological and emotional well-being
  • Increase awareness among students about services available to them
  • Provide a link between the counseling center and student body
  • Promote a climate of inclusivity and belonging
