Student Activities Board Chair Applications
The Student Activities Board is the largest student-ran programming board on UK's campus. With the help of our many chairs, directors, and executive team, we are responsible for planning and executing about 90 events a year! All events are planned with our four core values in mind; teamwork, diversity, stewardship, and enrichment, and how we can strengthen those values in the UK campus community.
Chair's on our board have the unique opportunity of being as involved as they'd like to be. There are also opportunities to apply to higher leadership positions within the board. Any student can apply, no matter the classification.
If you have any questions regarding the application, feel free to email email@example.com
UK has a leadership experience meant exclusively for new students! Approximately 25 new students (both freshmen and transfers) will be selected to participate in the First-Year Forum. These students will represent the incoming class and will be asked to share their experiences—good and bad—related to their first year at UK. They’ll be asked to offer feedback on the orientation process, new student programming, campus resources, support for new students, and more. Our goals are to develop First-Year Forum participants as emerging campus leaders while also using their experiences to improve UK’s work with new students more broadly.
- Students may self-nominate and get additional information online at www.uky.edu/firstyearforum (linkblue log-in required).
- UK faculty, staff, and administrators have the opportunity to nominate new students to participate as well; the nomination form is online at https://forms.gle/wL2dBgVxrD31XZx7A
The application will be open through September 1, 2019. Applicants can email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
