The University of Kentucky Student Government Association (UKSGA) represents all University students in several critical ways.  UKSGA exists to protect and expand student rights while striving to better represent the student body in relations with the University and community groups.  We are also known for organizing political forums, providing funding for student organizations, supporting the homecoming coalition, and hosting fun campus-wide events like Cram Jam and the Student Involvement Fair.

Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) is the official student organization of the UK Alumni Association.  STAT’s mission is to connect students and alumni to support UK through service work, events, and community. TEAM WILDCAT, a subcommittee of STAT, is the athletic spirit-based organization at UK.  Each year TEAM WILDCAT works to improve the student section at games by hosting bus trips to away games, poster-making parties, and more. During Homecoming STAT/ TEAM WILDCAT sponsors the pep rally.

DanceBlue is a year-long fundraising effort culminating in a 24-hour no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon.  We are 100% student run and raise money to support the Kentucky Children's Hospital DanceBlue Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic.  Since 2006, $5.1 million has been raised to support the children and families we serve.  The DanceBlue 5K, hosted during homecoming week, engages the campus and Lexington communities to celebrate a UK tradition and raising money for a fantastic cause.

Student Activities Board provides entertaining, educational and enriching programs for students, faculty/staff, and the University community. Events include enlightening lecture series, iconic performances, and nationally-renowned concerts. During Homecoming week, SAB sponsors the Royalty Court, Kitty Karnival, Canstruction, and Paint the Town Blue.

The National PanHellenic Council’s purpose is stated as "Unanimity of thought and action as far as possible in the conduct of Greek letter collegiate fraternities and sororities, and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations." During Homecoming week, they sponsor the NPHC step show that draws hundreds of spectators each year.

The Black Student Union is an organization that works to educate the University's community about the contributions of Black Americans, to unify the minorities on campus, and to encourage people of other races to participate in discussions and events. During homecoming week, BSU sponsors the Mo’ Betta Basketball Game, Mr. and Mrs. Black UK Pageant and MiCheck.
